Three caught dealing with drugs in Ocean View

Following an investigation into alleged illegal drug activities in Ocean View, a search warrant was obtained which was executed by members from the Western Cape Flying Squad early on Friday morning 22 July.

At approximately 02:00 the members conducted a search of a residence in Daffodil Street, Lapland, where they seized 48.5 Mandrax tablets, unlicensed 9mm pistol with a magazine , 15 rounds of ammunition and R26 000 cash.

Upon searching a wendy house in the backyard of the premises, the members recovered 753 packets of tik (crystal meth) which were buried under the ground.

The value of the drugs seized was estimated at R30 000. Two men, aged 29 and 32 , as well as a male juvenile aged 16 were arrested. They are due to appear in Wynberg Magistrates Court on Monday 25 July on charges of dealing in drugs.
