Our endeavours to reduce crime in the Western Cape communities led to the arrest of three male suspects aged 20, 30 and 36 for being in a possession of presumed stolen property in Eon Avenue, Scottsdene, Kraaifontein, during the early hours of 29 April 2019.

Committed members were busy with crime prevention duties when they came across the three male suspects pushing a black box on a trolley and carrying numerous goods. The police stopped and enquired about the items, to which the suspects claimed that they found the items abandoned. The police members conducted an investigation and it was discovered that the items were stolen during a burglary at a storage warehouse in Niben Street, Brackenfell earlier on Sunday night.

The following goods such as a crate containing copper cables, flight box with sagem printers, a diving propeller, first aid kit bag, a DVD player with LCD monitor and ultra-amplifier, a digital phone, a front loader and as well as 48 boxes of Vodka were discovered. All stolen goods are estimated to be worth R50 000.00.

All three suspects are expected to make court appearance in Kuilsriver Magistrates’ Court facing a charge of being in possession of presumed stolen property.
