On Monday 1 October 2018, at about 16:30 members attached to Operation Combat Faure were busy with crime prevention duties in Tafelsig. They received information about drugs being sold at a house in Perdeberg Street, Tafelsig. Upon entering the premises members found a male packing drugs into packets. They seized 58 packets of Tik, six big sachets (Bankies) of Tik, 150 Mandrax tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash.

They arrested a 34 year old male. The suspect faces a charge of dealing in drugs and he is expected to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrate’s Court once he has been charged.

Police are working around the clock to prevent and combat crime. Building stronger relationships and partnering with all communities forms part of the police plan of partnership policing. We need our communities to support us and to take a stand against crime by reporting crime.
