Committed to keeping their community safe, members of Delft police arrested a 23 year old man for the possession of a shotgun without a license and the illegal possession of ammunition in Delft.

On Thursday, 9 July 2020, at approximately 23:30 members followed up information about an illegal firearm at a house in Delft South. They immediately reacted on the information and arrested a 23-year-old male in possession of a firearm and rounds of ammunition.

The firearm was reported stolen in Piketberg during May 2020. The suspect will be appearing in the Bellville Magistrates court once he has been charged.
