Concerted efforts by police to eradicate stock theft in rural towns yielded positive results when police swiftly responded to information which resulted in the arrest of two suspects.

on the night of 16 July 2022, at about 22:50, Uniondale Rural Safety members conducted patrols in the farming community when they were alerted about criminal activities in an open field in the act, slaughtering an Angora goat.

The members confronted the duo for the possession of the animal. They were subsequently arrested on a charge of possession of stolen property.

More charges could be added as the investigation unfolds.
