Steve Biko’s son, Hlumelo Biko, appeared in the Cape Town magistrate’s court on charges of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
A 27-year-old woman filed a complaint against Biko.
The incident apparently took place on New Year’s Day.
The case has been postponed for further investigation.
