Members attached to Sea Point SAPS were conducting patrols in Vespadene Road, Sea Point on Thursday, 19 December 2019, at around 20:25 when they noticed an A4 Audi parked in the middle of the road. The members approached the vehicle and found two male occupants inside.
They proceeded to search the vehicle and discovered various drugs such as Mandrax tablets, cocaine, ecstasy and crystal meth.
The value of these items is yet to be determined. The suspects, aged 32 and 39, were arrested for dealing in drugs. They are expected to appear at the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 23 December 2019 on the mentioned charge.
Furthermore, members of Sea Point police were conducting a vehicle checkpoint on the corner of High Level Road and Ocean View Drive when a white Toyota Corolla Quest was pulled over. The vehicle was searched and a container which had cocaine and tik inside, was found.
The value of the drugs is yet to be determined. The suspect, a 43 year old male, was arrested for dealing in drugs and detained at Sea Point SAPS. Once charged he will appear at Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 23 December 2019.
