A brutal farm attack took place on 2 August 2019, in Piketberg, Western Cape province, where a woman who was alone at home was violently attacked. The attacker waited for the woman’s husband to leave home and then he struck. The woman was then overpowered, assaulted, tied up and then raped. The attacker fled the scene with R180.
A while after the suspect fled the woman managed to free herself and contact her husband for help. The SA Police Service did great work following up and have already arrested the attacker. There is no other information available at this stage.
