Robbery suspects arrested in Makhaza

On January 16, 2017 while members of Macassar police were conducting a tracing operation for wanted suspects in the vicinity of the N2 in Makhaza, they were approached by a Somalian shop owner and informed that he was robbed by two armed suspects. The members immediately pursued the matter and spotted the suspicious vehicle, a navy blue VW Polo. Following a short persuit both suspects in their twenties were arrested and two firearms were seized. The stolen cash was also recovered.

During the tracing operation, three suspects were also arrested for being in posession of stolen computer equiptment and cellular telephones.

Onced charged, the suspects will make a court aoperance in Khayelitsha.
