Operational endeavours to address drug related crime in Grassy Park resulted in the arrest of a suspect who was caught in possession of drugs valued at R250 000-00. A tip off led the police to a residence in Starling Road, New Horizon where the suspect aged 31 was arrested for being in possession of mandrax, tik and heroin.

The suspect is expected to make a court appearance on Monday, 4 February 2019 in Wynberg to face a charge of dealing in drugs.

The members pursued more information and also arrested two more suspects, both females age 45 and 49 for being in possession of drugs with a combined value of R 30 000-00 in Grassy Park. They too are due to appear in court on Monday, 4 February 2019.

Drug and gang related crime will remain a priority for the Western Cape police and we continue with our onslaught to root out the scourge.
