The abuse of illegal substances is one of the root causes of violent crime, and members of Operation Thunder and the K9 Unit are lauded for their efforts to take drugs off our streets and arrest those who are selling it.
On Sunday, 11 November 2018, members of Operation Thunder and K9 Unit conducted a search operations at a residence in Park Road, Wynberg upon receiving information from the public.
The information was about drugs being stored and or a person dealing in drugs at the mentioned address. Members searched the house and found a total of 1 048 Mandrax tablets and 1001 grams of tik to the estimated value of R200 000 and R 10 500 cash.
A 38 year old suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs. He will appear in Wynberg Magistrates Court.
