In the pursuit of excellence, police members of the Provincial Organised Crime Narcotics unit in Cape Town pursued information of a passenger involved in drug trafficking through Cape Town International Airport on Tuesday, 4 October 2022.

The members were strategically placed to profile and search passengers disembarking from an International flight from Dubai just before midday.

Amidst the hustle and bustle, members kept close observation and conducted intense searches.

Their mandate was fulfilled when they confiscated 4 kg of cocaine wrapped in chocolate wrappings hidden in the luggage of one of the passengers.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and detained on a charge of dealing in drugs.

Once charged, the suspect will make a court appearance in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court on the mentioned charge.
