R110K worth of drugs recovered, dealer arrested, Plettenberg Bay

A 42-year-old accused, charged with dealing in drugs, made his first court appearance in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 22 February 2022, following the confiscation of drugs with an estimated street value of R110 000-00 found on his premises.

On Sunday, 20 February 2022, Plettenberg Bay SAPS Crime Prevention Unit members swiftly responded to information about a consignment of drugs delivered at the house at Pine Trees near New Horizon, Plettenberg Bay.

The team pounced on the house and upon entering found 195 grams of Tik on a table in one of the rooms. They proceeded with a thorough search of the premises that resulted in the recovery of 831 Mandrax Tablets concealed in 1 litre branded milk containers (cartons) hidden in other parts of the residence.

The police confiscated the drugs and arrested the occupant of the house.

The accused, Ramadhani Yusuphu Mrisho (42), appeared in court on mentioned charge. This matter was postponed to 04 March 2022 for bail information. He remains in custody.
