After the waste of almost R100 million, the Department of Water and Sanitation announced that the rise of the Clanwilliam dam wall is again on the table.
As previously reported, almost R100 million was wasted over a two year period due to differences and disagreement between the Department of Water Affairs and the local government in the Western Cape around the dam wall’s height increase.
However, it has not been said how long the process will take before completion. The dam’s water level is currently below 5% and conditions are ideal for the construction process.
