Police seek help with Wellington robbers

The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Wellington in the Western Cape have asked the public for help in locating men wanted in connection with a case of business robbery at a shop in Wellington on the afternoon of March 23.

“It is alleged that three suspects, one armed with a firearm, threatened the complainant and the shop assist and fled the scene with a undisclosed amount of cash in a grey Fiat Sienna,” Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said.

The first man was between 25 and 30 years old, about 1.67 metres tall, heavily built, and dark in complexion. During the incident he was wearing yellow gloves, a black vest, and a dark brown floppy hat. The second man was between 30 and 35 years old, about 1.70 metres tall, fat, and also dark in complexion. The third man could been not be described.

Anyone who might have any information as to the whereabouts of the men was asked to contact Crime Stop on 08600-10111 or the investigating officer Constable Elton Sameuls on 079-894-1710.
