Police members attached to Operation Restore made their presence felt in Delft on Friday, 14 July 2023 when they arrested and detained two males on charges of possession of drugs.

Police members deployed in Delft to quell the ongoing gang violence in the policing precinct were busy with stop search operations when they approached an address in The Hague, where they ensued with a search.

During the search of the premises they confiscated a consignment of Methamphetamine.

They arrested and detained a 44-year-old man on a charge of possession of drugs.

Meanwhile the members deployed in Delft as part of an integrated operation were busy with high density patrols when they pursued information relating to dealing in drugs.

The police pounced on an address in Diep Crescent, Leiden and searched the entire premises.

The search proved to be successful when they confiscated Mandrax, Methamphetamine and cash.

They arrested and detained a 63-year-old man on a charge of possession of drugs.

The suspects are expected to make their respective court appearances in the Bellville Magistrates’ court on the mentioned charges once charged.
