Cape Town music promoter David Forbes is expected to appear in the Cape Town Regional Court on Thursday in connection with the murder of Toufiq Joseph.

Forbes, the founder of Boksburg’s H20 parties and also a consultant to the Ultra Music Festival SA, is to go on trial for the alleged murder of alleged ticket tout Joseph at a city petrol station in January last year.

It is alleged that Forbes shot dead 23-year-old Joseph at the Engen garage in Orange Street in the CBD on January 24, 2015, in full view of shocked customers.

Forbes is out on R20,000 bail.
