Paramedics robbed again in Athlone

While busy on an accident scene on Klipfontein Road in Athlone area, an ambulance associated to the Western Cape Government EMS was robbed of its equipment and the crews belongings.

While attending to a motor vehicle accident with a patient stuck under the vehicle.

And the saddest part of this, the guys kept doing what they were there to do and are now on the way to the hospital with the patient minus the life saving equipment they need to perform their jobs.

A second ambulance needed to be called to the scene with the necessary equipment delaying life saving treatment to the accident victim and also the possibility of delays to other patients because of additional resources being sent which could have been available for other incidents.
