During a search for two murder suspects in Site 5, Dornbach informal settlement, Table View, on Tuesday 19 June 2018 at 22:00, Table View Police noticed a man appearing very nervous outside a dwelling. He started to run when he noticed the police approaching.
The officials decided to investigate and went to the dwelling, introduced themselves and made the purpose of their visit known. Permission was granted to search the premises. The three occupants of the house appeared nervous and police proceeded to conduct the search in their presence. During the search, the members found a blue drum. Inside the drum, they discovered a large amount of cannabis.
The cannabis was sealed in individual plastic bags and was confiscated and handed in as evidence. The three men, aged in their twenties, were arrested and charged with dealing in drugs.
The two men who murdered another man in Site 5 on Friday 15 June 2018, were also arrested the same night by the same officers.
All five suspects will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court today
