Eager to bring perpetrators to book, members of Harare SAPS embarked on a tracing operation which landed a suspect wanted for murder behind bars.
This morning at around 05:30 the 32 year old suspect was arrested in Mandela Park Khayelitsha for a murder he committed during last week. An unlicensed 9mm firearm and ammunition were found in his possession.
Investigations revealed that the firearm was reported stolen in Mthatha during 2016.
During the arrest, the members received information of another unlicensed firearm and proceeded to a residence in Enkanini Khayelitsha where a second suspect, a 40 year male was arrested for being in possession of a Z88 and ammunition.
Once charged, both suspects are due to make a court appearance in Khayelitsha to face the charges against them.
