SAPS Management in the Western Cape welcomes the hefty sentence handed down to David Van Boven and his co accused Tasliem Ambrose following their conviction in the murder trial of Jesse Hess (19) and her grandfather, Chris Lategan (85).
Jesse Hess, a youth leader of a church in Matroosfontein and her grandfather were murdered in their flat in Parow.
David Van Boven was sentenced to two life imprisonment for murder, 40 years for the two counts of robbery, eight years for sexual assault and three years for fraud. The sentences will run concurrent with the life sentence.
Tasliem Ambrose was sentenced to twelve years imprisonment for two counts of robbery.
