Mfuleni detectives have opened a triple murder case as well as an attempted murder case following an incident where three men were shot and killed in front of a business in Tokwana Street in Mfuleni on Thursday 6 August 2020.
Reports indicate that after 12:00 two gunmen whose faces were covered in masks fired shots at the victims aged between 23 and 27 who were at a tyre shop in Extension 6. Two died on the scene and the third one in hospital. A fourth victim sustained serious injuries and is in hospital. The gunmen fled on foot.
The investigation is yet to determine what the motive for the shooting is. Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact the police on Crime Stop 08600 10111.
