On Saturday 9 February 2019, at about 15:00, SAPS members were busy with crime prevention activities in Bonteheuwel. They noticed a man with a bag in his hand. The suspect started running upon noticing the presence of the police. Police members gave chase and arrested the suspect, a 40 year-old male and seized a total of 166 Mandrax tablets.

Once he has been charged, the suspect will appear in Bishop Lavis Magistrates Court.
