A man, believed to be in his 20s, was left critically injured after he was shot in the head on Dingle Road in Goodwood in the Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics were called to the scene at 21h20 on 28 February 2018, by the local authorities.
Upon arrival, paramedics found a man lying in the middle of the road. Assessments showed that the man had sustained a gunshot wound to his head, leaving him in a critical condition.
Treatment and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an effort to stabilize the patient’s condition.
Once treated, the man was transported to Tygerberg Provincial hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
