Man (81) dies of injuries after Parow street robbery

An elderly man from Parow died from injuries sustained in a street robbery that happened just after he dropped off a painting at the Post Office. John Edward Morgenrood (81) was walking in an alley just before 17:00 on 22 December 2020 after dropping off the package when he was attacked by two black men who violently pushed him to the ground. They robbed his cellphone.

Mr Morgenrood sustained head injuries and bleeding on the brain when he fell. He was found in a confused state by passersby. They phoned his wife after seeing her number on his walking stick. Mr Morgenrood passed away in hospital on 31 December 2020 from injuries sustained during the robbery.

The investigator has downloaded a video clip of the incident and identified a suspect who was already in custody in connection with another different incident.

This incident illustrates, once again, that elderly people, or anyone perceived to be weak, are not safe outside their houses anymore. Even inside their houses they are targets. We as the minority is being subjected to a slow genocide in this country which is being described as the “rainbow nation” by liberals. The “rainbow nation” has made us prisoners in our own houses.
