WESTERN CAPE — A Malmesbury father has been handed life imprisonment after appearing before the Malmesbury Regional Court on Tuesday, 21 July 2026. The 52-year-old accused, whose name is legally protected to shield the identities of the survivors, received the maximum sentence after admitting to the prolonged rape and sexual abuse of his three biological daughters.
A Marital Dispute Breaks the Silence
The horrific crimes only came to light during a severe marital dispute. When the youngest of the three girls reached the age of 16, the mother decided to end her marriage because her husband refused to seek employment. Amidst the breakdown of the relationship, the three daughters finally found the courage to confide in their mother about the severe sexual trauma they had suffered for years, prompting immediate contact with the authorities.
A Calculated Pattern of Offending
Court proceedings revealed a deeply disturbing and calculated pattern of abuse. The assaults began when the victims were just two years old and persisted until they were 13. The perpetrator would isolate the children by taking them, one by one, to a holiday home. During these trips, he would force the young girls to perform oral sex before proceeding to rape them.
