Vigilance and quick response by members of Flying Squad led to the arrest of four suspects at Mfuleni area this morning, 21 May 2019. Members of Flying Squad were busy with patrols, when they spotted a rental vehicle with false number plates at Nooiensfontein road, Kuilsrivier.
The driver accelerated when he saw the police, a high speed chase ensued and the suspects were intercepted at Wembley Park.
Two suspects ran away and their freedom was short lived as they were arrested swiftly. Upon searching the vehicle, three television sets were found covered with blankets.
The four suspects aged between 28 and 38 were arrested are expected to appear in Blue Downs Magistrates Court once charged.
