A man was arrested on Saturday for attempting to break into a business in Kuilsriver at 06H14.
Bassett Alarms received a call for assistance through the DCI radio initiative that a suspect was trying to break into a business premises in Van Riebeeck Street, Kuilsriver.
Armed Response officer Jansen Van Rensburg was dispatched to investigate.
The officer arrived moments later with NHW members already on the scene with the suspect.
The members were waiting on Kuilsriver SAPS when the suspect tried to run away but again was caught and restrained.
Kuilsriver SAPS arrived at 07H19 and took the suspect away for further investigation.
