The vigilance of members attached to the Flying Squad and the K9 Unit landed four suspects behind bars on 4 July 2021. The members were patrolling the street of Tokai when a suspicious vehicle with four male occupants drew their attention.
The instincts of the members to stop and search the vehicle were not in the best interest of the occupants as they were all four arrested for being in possession of two unlicensed 9mm pistols, ammunition and possible house breaking implements.
It is suspected that the suspects were about to perpetrate a house robbery in the area.
Once they have been charged, the suspects aged 28, 31, 33 and 49 are expected to make their court appearance in Wynberg.
