A home invasion took place on 3 November 2020, at 00:15, in Melkboom street, in Stilbaai, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. A couple were attacked by three armed invaders and Johan Ungerer (65) was fatally wounded, his wife, Christina (61) was assaulted and tied up. The couple were asleep when they were overpowered and the man was stabbed to death with a sharp instrument.
The home was ransacked and jewelry, cash and their bakkie was robbed. The vehicle was later found abandoned near Riversdal.
Police are investigating the robbery and murder but there have been no arrests so far. There is no other information available at this stage.
