The Provincial Integrated Team continue with their mandate to ensure that the communities are safe. On 20 September 2020, the members acted on information about drugs that were sold at a house in Site B, Khayelitsha. Upon their arrival at the address, police conducted a search and found 307 Mandrax tables worth an estimated street value of R20 000. A 26 year old man was arrested and he is expected to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates’ court.
In an unrelated matter, the same unit arrested a 27 year old in Nyanga on the night of 21 September 2020, after he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
And the detectives in the team traced a 17 year old teen who was involved in triple murders that were committed on 9 September 2020, in Parkwood and Ottery.
The suspects will appear in various courts once they have been charged.
