Intensive investigation by detectives in the Eden Cluster led to the arrest of four suspects in connection with two unrelated murders in George. They are due to appear in Court soon.
Thembalethu Detectives arrested three suspects aged 22, 24, and 27 on Saturday, 29 August 2020 in connection with the murder of a 47-year-old man at Asazani Street, Zone 6 earlier. Preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was assaulted by a group of people. The body of the deceased was later found in the street with a stab wound to the head. He was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.
The suspects are still in custody. They will appear in the George Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 31 August 2020 on a charge of murder.
