Today the National Commissioner of Police, General Khehla John Sitole started with phase 1 of the programme of the day with a walkabout in Uitsig, Ravensmead and also in Lavender Hill, Steenberg.
General Sitole was engaging community members to hear and see first hand the of impact of Gangsterism in those policing precincts.
The General went on to visit Base Camps in these areas where 269 national members from various specialised units are deployed as part of the stabilisation of gangs infested townships.
