South African Police Service

The swift response from SAPS to a shooting incident yesterday morning in Scottsville, Kraaifontein landed two suspects behind bars for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

At about 10:00, Kraaifontein police responded to a shooting incident in progress in Dahlia Street, and upon their speedy arrival on the scene, they spotted a suspect handing over a firearm to another suspect. Both men aged 27 were arrested for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, and are due to make a court appearance in Blue Downs once they have been charged.

Gang related violence is high on our agenda and we will not allow criminals to hold communities to ransom with their cowardly acts of crime.
