Thembisile Hubert Arosi aged 49, appeared at the Blue downs Magistrates Court on two charges of fraud and corruption. Arosi, a Senior Administrative Clerk for the South African Police Service was arrested on Friday 18 September 2020, by the Hawks Serious Corruption Investigation team at his work place in Stikland, Cape Town.
He is accused for issuing illegal police clearance certificates for vehicles without ever being present at the said vehicle testing station.
Arosi was released on R2000 bail and he is expected to be back in court on 4 November 2020 for a Regional Court date.
