The vigilance and swift response of Mitchells Plain members landed four suspects behind bars late on the night of 6 April 2020, for being in possession of unlicensed firearms.

The members were busy with crime prevention duties when they received information that suspects in a residence in Clairwood Street in Beacon Valley are armed. They conducted a search operation at the residence and confiscated a 9mm pistol, a revolver and 7 rounds of ammunition.

The four suspects aged between 35 and 50 were arrested and are expected to make their court appearances in Mitchells Plain to face the charges against them.
