Members of the Western Cape Flying Squad arrested a 37-year-old man on Saturday for the alleged possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition.
The arrest took place in Susan Court, Heideveld. According to police, the suspect is believed to be affiliated with a gang.
The man is scheduled to appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 23 February 2026, to face the charges.
