Flying Squad arrest three hijackers, Cape Town

Flying Squad members were patrolling in Weltevreden road on 17 June 2019 when they saw a suspicious vehicle, a white Opel Corsa. Upon testing it was established that the number plates were cloned. The vehicle was reported as hijacked in a Lwandle case.

Three suspects aged 35, 36 and 42 from Gugulethu and Nyanga were arrested. A firearm, Vektor 9mm with 9 9mm ammunition were also found inside the vehicle.

All suspects are expected to appear in court once charged.
