In pursuit of realising SAPS’s mission to ensure that offenders are brought to book, Worcester SAPS members apprehended five suspects on charges relating to the possession of a firearm without a licence.
On 29 August 2017, at about 20:45, five suspects between the ages of 18 and 23 were arrested for possession of a zip gun without a licence inside a residence in an informal settlement in Avian Park.
Worcester SAPS members on patrol found and confiscated the zip gun inside the place of residence after receiving a tip off from community members.
All arrested suspects are due to appear at Worcester Magistrate’s Court on 30 August 2017 on a charge relating to possession of a firearm without a licence.
