While the members were busy with the suspects they also recovered a vehicle which was reported stolen in Nyanga last week.

The four suspects aged between 17 and 24 years will appear in Athlone Magistrates’ court as soon as they are charged for possession of prohibited firearms, unlicensed firearm and ammunition as well as drugs.

The Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula commended the members for their proactive approach and team work in ensuring a safer festive season by rooting out the proliferation of illegal firearms in the Nyanga area.
