A farm murder, the second in a day, took place on 3 July 2020, at 22:15, on a farm 15kms outside of Worcester, on route to Robertson, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The singer Wynand Breedt was shot and killed on a farm by an unknown number of attackers.
Breedt was parking the car after arriving home and the witness, who had arrived with him, was unlocking the door, the witness noticed a black male pointing a firearm at Breedt. The witness closed himself to protect himself and called the neighbours for help.
When he went out again, Breedt was found on the floor with a gunshot to the chest.
There is no other information available at this stage. Police are investigating the murder. There have been no arrests.
