A farm attack took place on the farm Goergap in Redelinghuys, Western Cape province, on Friday 19 April 2019.
The attack took place at 20:40 resulting in the the neighborhood watch and police responding, they discovered a woman (72) who had been raped and injured and was rushed to hospital. She suffered knife woundsto her hands and neck whilst attempting to protect herself.
The response saw a suspect being arrested on the scene after the attack and rape of the elderly woman. The incident was reported by Redelinghuys Farm Watch, there is no other information available at this stage nor is there any more details pertaining to the injuries sustained during the attack.
