A farm attack took place on 2 July 2020, at 20:10, in the mineral springs area of Paarl, in the Cape winelands, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. A woman was overpowered and assaulted by between 5 and 7 armed balaclava clad attackers carrying pangas, knives and bricks.
The woman was repeatedly hit in the face with a brick and required medical attention after the attack. She was not seriously injured.
The home was ransacked and a number of items stolen.
All role players responded and are searching for the attackers. There is no other information available at this stage.
