A farm attack took place on 22 July 2023, at 22:25, during loadshedding, on the Keerweder road in Paarl, in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
Four balaclava clad attackers invaded the home and overpowered the residents.
After the alarm was raised, a neighbour contacted the Drakenstein Farm Watch (DFW) for assistance.
A Fidelity ADT officer, affiliated to the DFW group was first on site, followed by the Paarl stationed K9 Police officers, who are also DFW fire fighter volunteers in their spare time.
On arrival the attackers had already fled the scene with a number of household items and some valuables.
At this sage it is unclear what exactly transpired but the residents of the home suffered injuries and were attended to by an ambulance that attended the attack scene.
The police are investigating but there have been no arrets.
