It seems that Patricia de Lille’s political career is coming to an end.
This follows after her own party has suspended her pending an investigation.
De Lille has recently been involved in various “misconduct” and allegations of mismanagement. Public accusations have been thrown back and forth.
The DA apparently has his knife in for De Lille. She was initially suspended from all the DA’s operations pending an investigation. Now the DA is threatening to set a motion of distrust against her in the Cape Town Council, which could mean her final fall. However, they gave her until tomorrow to give reasons why she should not resign as mayor.
De Lille has indicated that she does intend leaving her good-paying job, and is already threatening legal action before she has given her reasons to the party.
