In a quest to address contact crimes which prevail the most in Nyanga policing precinct, two suspects were arrested on Sunday night on two different cases of murder.
A 27 year old suspect was arrested at about 20:00 in Samora Machel. The latter had allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend’s father for disapproving the suspect’s relationship with the deceased daughter.
The deceased had moved his daughter out of Province to prevent her from being involved with the suspect. The suspect shot the deceased while he was busy washing his vehicle in Samora Machel. The detective’s tireless efforts paid last night when they were tipped off about the suspect’s whereabouts.
The second suspect, a 46 year old had handed himself over Sunday night, 17 December 2017 at about 23:00, after he heard the police were on the look out for him after he stabbed and fatally wounded another man in Boys Town in Crossroads.
The members were thanked for their efforts in ensuring the suspects are brought to book. The station management further appreciates the contributions made by the community members to ensure the suspects are arrested and face the law.
