Our pursuit in ensuring that we address the illegal substances trade in the communities of the province has yielded positive results when observant members of Milnerton SAPS arrested a 31 year old suspect in Dunoon, Cape Town, on 1 October 2019, who was found to be in possession of illegal dagga.
The members were conducting crime prevention operation in the area when they saw a man who acted suspiciously when he saw the police vehicle approach him. A further investigation led the members to conduct a body search and his salon was also searched.
Upon searching the salon members found bags of illegal cannabis and ten other plastic bags containing dagga that is estimated to be worth R10 000 including an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was arrested and he is expected to make a court appearance in the Cape Town Magistrate Court on charges of dealing in drugs.
