Detectives from Organised Crime, Narcotics unit in Vredendal followed information about a vehicle in the area transporting drugs to Cape Town on Monday afternoon 3 May 2021.

With the assistance of the Namaqualand K9 Unit, the vehicle was thoroughly searched.

A hidden compartment was discovered where the following drugs were discovered:

8,98 kilograms of crystal meth
2,08 kilograms of heroin
3,26 kilograms of cocaine

Two men aged 39 and 32 as well as a 33-year-old woman were arrested on charges of dealing in drugs.

The suspects will appear in court in Klawer on Wednesday, 05 May 2021 on charges of possession of drugs and dealing in drugs.
