The efforts of Bellville police were rewarded early on 2 November 2019, when they seized drugs, cash and stolen property in a flat in the area. Members of D-shift, armed with information descended on a security complex in Teddington Street in Bellville and seized 3 329 Mandrax tablets, R22 000 in cash and laptops.

A 28 year old suspect was subsequently arrested for possession, dealing in drugs as well as possession of stolen property. The suspect will appear in the Bellville Magistrates’ court on Monday, 4 November 2019.

Western Cape SAPS management has commended the efforts of the team. As more information is being followed more arrests and seizures could be on the cards.
