Harare police attached to Crime Prevention Unit participated in efforts to rid the community of drugs on the night 8 November 2019, and acted on information they received about a house where drugs are sold.

Upon their arrival at the premises, they found drugs such as mandrax tablets and crystal meth (Tik). Upon a further search, a total of 21 cellphones, a scale and electricity vending machines were also recovered together with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A 32 year old man was arrested for dealing in drugs and possession of suspected stolen property and he is due to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrate’s Court on Monday 11 November 2019.

Meanwhile Gugulethu police followed up on information about a vehicle that was transporting dagga. They spotted the vehicle and stopped it, upon searching it they found a total of 33 parcels of dagga and plastic bags of dagga.

A 43 year old man was arrested and he will appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court on Monday 11 November 2019.
